Groom Place consisted of a small mews house in Central London. Historically these houses would serve the main properties via a small mews and would house cart lodges and stables. As such the access for undertaking works is usually very restricted, with limited storage for materials. This project included a complete refurbishment of the three storey house and excavation of a full basement. The basement filled the property footprint, underpinning party walls to all sides.

FCL needed to carefully consider both the permanent and temporary works, along with the sequence of works to produce a suitable scheme.
