The client for this high end residential property wanted a two way cantilever breakfast bar in the kitchen. The brief was to keep the deck as thin as possible, so this could be clad in a thin stone veneer. The solution required a steel frame of RHS sections, which was modelled in 3D and analysed to check for strength but also to check for excessive deflection.
